General Behavior And Discipline

  • The students shall endeavour to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the students of the College in their dress, demeanor and sense of discipline.
  • Approved College Uniforms for all boys and girls will be effective from 2nd August 2012 daily.
  • They will greet their teachers on the occasion of first meeting them and whenever they meet them in public. They will stand up whenever any authorities or teachers enter the class rooms or meet them in public place.
  • They will treat the College property with great care. They will not deface the furniture or the walls. Any damage or destruction of the College property will be punishable individually or collectively.
  • Students are forbidden to organize or attend any meeting within the College, or collect money for any purpose or to circulate among the students any notice or petition of any kind or paste it on the College notice board or walls without the written permission of the Principal.
  • Active participation in politics is not compatible with the academic life of students and as such students are not expected to indulge in public activities which are of a political nature.
  • Students are not allowed to make complaints in a body or present any collective petition, but they are welcome to present their case, if any, either individually or through their parent(s).
  • In case of misbehavior after substantiation with proofs, the students can be suspended from the college by the Principal, which shall be final.
  • Ragging is a punishable offence. Students are hereby warned that they will be summarily expelled from the College if they are caught ragging other students anywhere in the College premises or outside, while coming to College or going back home. If any complaint to this effect is received from any student who has been subjected to such ragging, strict disciplinary action will be taken. It is the privilege of the senior students to welcome the juniors to this institution and to make them feel at home. Let kindness and courtesy be the hallmark of every Loyolite in the new academic year.
  • During college hour if any student wants to go out in emergency he/she has to get written permission from Principal or Vice-Principal. This letter has to be shown to the gatekeeper at the gate. In case any student is found violating this rule the Principal shall penalize him/her.
  • It is compulsory for faculty members and the students to attend the assembly, which is held on the first working day of the college every week.
  • The Science students are advised to wear aprons for all practical classes.
  • The students shall be expelled from the college if they are found guilty of making propaganda against the Institution, Management, Principal, Staff or other student(s).
  • After taking admission in the college if a student joins or encourages any illegal strike and forces other students to join the same against the Institution, Management, Principal, any Authority, staff or other student(s), the Principal has the right to dismiss the student immediately.
  • The student should secure written permission from their parent(s) or local guardian for attending camps, excursion, picnic, study tour and other training programmes.
  • If the student is absent due to sickness or any other justified reason he/she must give an application duly signed by his/her parent(s)/Hostel Superintendent/Local Guardian and himself/herself.
  • Student who indulges in any form of malpractice during the examination will be registered for further disciplinary action prescribed by Guru Ghasidas University.
